The river finally looked good so me and Hydro did a long drift. The water was fast and the willows were hungry.  Terry was loving the technical manuvering.  Terry eyeballing the course...

Shooting the gap...

WEEEeeeee....

My paddling was less impressive.  I came SoooOOOOooo close to wrapping it on a strainer it wasn't even funny.

My fishing was better though.  I landed three steelies.  First one went 14, the next one 10, and the last one 12...

Right on - you guys are hardcore for shooting little chutes like that.  Way to go on landing some half-pounders at least.   :smt001

This year does suck! The steelies are a no-show.
I think I'm lucky to have one on my card.
It's not over yet though...

Will they still be there? Or is that the question of the day?

Looks like fun fellas. I'm hoping real hard that the steelies show up soon... I'm dying to get out and get one.

my week was long too and I needed some time on the glide. thanks Sean

I only caught 1 miniature, with the betty, but I learned alot and I got to spend more time developing some drift anchor skills. This anglers blessing is the kayakers curse.  I wouldnt want to fish without it but you have to keep the game face on and your hips at the ready all the time.

It was a cold morning and when I stepped into the russian with shorts/keens, the stinging burning sensation let me know that Sean was the wiser to wear waders.
That wisdom was again confirmed when I hit the first small standing wave that blasted me full on in the crotch. good morning!
