I hit Pigeon Point for a few hour of poke poling today. Ended with one keeper Capezon and two Monkeyface eels, one was over 2 feet. It was a nice day at the point, very little wind and the sea was pretty flat for that area. There is another decent afternoon low tide on Sunday, so good luck if you go.

Also there are some good size mussels on the outside of the intertidal zone and I ran across one nice red and several black abs, to bad we can’t take them around here.

I've been wanting to try poke poling for a while now. Sounds like fun stuff. Thanks for sharing.

I was out there Saturday gathering some mussels.  I ran into a guy poke poleing.  Was that you?

I was on the north side of the point and did b.s. with two guys getting mussels. I didn't see anyone else poke poling or gathering mussels, so if the location is right I guess it was me.

We talked about other fishing sites and I didn't mention this one.  I love to fish off my yak but do not have much experiance in the ocean.  It was a pleasure to meet you.  I'm planning to do some rock hopping for some of those P-Point rockies and maybe a ling.I'll let you know when the tides are right and maybe you could show up.
