brickyard WFO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it started a little slow this morning but it picked as the tide started to move out, and ended in all out striper catching frenzy!  as i made my way around the brickyard i started catching schoolies but no keepers.  i got a baker's dozen there, then troy[gotbait] paddled by and we decided to fish the sisters in hopes of bigger ones, no fish there.  then paddled over to rat rock, lots of fish there, some keepers. we ate our lunch there, then trolled back.  we trolled right into the motherlode next to those pilings adjacent to the sisters.  we had so many hookups, we beached our boats and fished from shore, it was AWESOME, fish almost every cast, we had double hookups, i was catching 2 at once!! i was positively giddy.  i finished with 61 catch and releases, yes 61 fish. not to mention all the ones that came unbuttoned. troy got 22 fish and left with his limit. not many keepers out there, but that was a lot of action.

Chris... you frickin' gamehog  .... we tried to get ahold of you by vhf and by cell phone, but no answer.  

SteveS, Mooch, Dave, and I ended up fishing the Marin Islands for about half-a-dozen fish a piece -- no keepers.

Although the action was no where close to where you guys were, it was still a gorgeous day on the water.

i keep forgetting that vhf, i think i will remember from now on. i am exhausted, got to drink a cup of coffee before i go to a 40th birthday surprise party.

i tell you chris i had a blast fishing with you i have never been on fish like that before that was crazy great call on the spots to fish in all my years of fishing i have never hook 22 fish i a single day cant wait 2 do it again

oh you guys are killing me!  I guess I should have taken my extra two hours fishing time and headed around the corner.

Gotta love those pilings- seems that it was about this time last year that we watched a flyfisherman pull fish after fish from that area...

so glad you guys got into them-- makes my decision for fishing tomorrow easier!

That is insane fishing!   I was thinking, "aw, who wants to paddle around the bay for toxic stripers?" Doh!

 Yup... I must admit.... Dave got me good.   Being awaken from a good nap by a good bendo was the exciting part of my day too.  I'm lucky I didn't fall off my yak.
