Hit the window of opp. on Friday. It's a 30min. drive to the water so I was there at the crack of 8am, I had to load up in the morning and tie on lures in the parking lot, so I was a lil'late.
I planned to TROLL the WHOLE DAY!!, no matter how many tullie holes I paddled by.
Pic1~ Around the island I paddled, up to HalfmoonBay.

pic2~ Tullies I passed up, that I know hold LMBass, but I'm on a mission to get me a TROUT!

pic3~ Alligator headed canoe guy was on them, dropping power-bait

So did you have any luck?

What do you like to throw at the LMB in Chabot?

...down to the dam for nada I went. I did HT&R (hook, trough&release) a fiesty-full-finned one on my way back to where I saw a school of them holding off a point.
I had a brief shore stop to make and then I was gonna troll the SHIT out of that spot until I got one! I passed over the area once to confirm they where still holding tight and they were.

pic1~ Deer skull and leg bones, can you cay Mt.Lion!?

pic2~ spotted this savage FancyFeastHunter in a small cave on the mountain side.

pic3~ See that point to the left?

i did, but was targeting them $%^$%! trout, so I only spent 3 senko flings.

I was trolling a JSR5 on one and a Crawler-tippedNeedlefish one the other. The ShadRap got ALL the action. After a couple of hit&misses, one finally stuck! It jumped, tailwalked and tossed the lure as I cried in disbelief. Another pass and another ZZZZZZZZZZ goes the drag!!! This time IT STUCK, it jumped, tailwalked and cartwheeled itself, but oh NO, not this time!! I forgot my trout net and had to gill plate it into the yak. It fought hard and long, trying to get away......sorry!!
pic1~ 21.5' @ 6.5lbs.......WHYdidTHEYcutSOmuchTAILoff?!

pic2~ the top one was the hot one, bottom 2 I found there.

they TRIM/CUT them up at that prestine lake in Mt.Lassen, right after they rub them down with *the clear* and then shoot them into a truck bound for the UrbanTroutKill&EatFestivus :smt005
It took me 10 miles of trolling to get it....it was the FIRST TIME I EVER, packed it up and left after landing a fish.....i knew i would NOT beat or match it, so i left. :smt044

I hear you, Adam. That's why my Lafayette Res. trip on Sat. didn't get posted. Even though I got a fish almost as big as yours right to the boat but couldn't land him with the puny-trout net I brought along... Gotta try that gill plate grab. Congratulations on a BEAUTIFUL catch!
