Arrived at the SP just after 8am, met up mooch, Al, Bob ( I think, sorry if I'm wrong) parked, unloaded my fishing stuff, Bs'd a little.  Mean time the park ranger was not in the kiosk so I wasn't able to pay when I drove in.  Walked up and he was just opening.  Paid, headed back and started to don my waders, rig up the pole.  Mooch and Al were ready to go, so I sent them off and continued to rig.
  Followed a few minutes later.

Al's First BSP

PaulR's 3rd and largest  caught Sat.

My first, used pile worms.  (Thanks Paul for bringing them and allowing us to use them)

Al, Mooch, Adam and Bella

Mooch.

Frank.

Frank about to real wet chasing his hat!

Mooch "Providing" Lumpia,  Yummy stuff!

Adam doing what he does best when not sleighing the fish!

Al, chillin, before starting to make his "Man Beans"

Lumipia! That stuff is pretty good! Thanks Mooch!

Start of the now infamous "Man beans"  Al probably has another name for his dish, but for now I'll call it Man beans, they were very Tasty!

All that's needed to cook the beans, a nice fire.

More prep for the beans.

Today's haul.

Chef tending his masterpiece.

Man Beans! Nuf said!  (Ok they were yummy!

Fish ready to be folded up for the fire.

The fish ready for the fire.
PaulR within minutes of casting had a double hookup!  Turns out, live bait really out fished the plastics today.

As mentioned briefly above, PaulR brought pile worms (creepy critters) and live shrimp.  Fishing was slow for me on the plastics I had, I had a few real good hits, but due to my hook size choice I was missing hook set. I downsized my hook to a #6 gamagatsu and using started using those ugly bitting pile Worms.  I started to land fish.  Big thanks goes out to Paul from me, as well as the rest for letting us use the bait.

Waves were not all the huge, but the wind came up pretty bad sometime after 3:30 4pm time frame, and it was making casting a little difficult.  We decided to stop and head to camp for dinner.
Mooch started dinner off with his Lumpia. I helped test taste many samples.  I approved. :smt003  Al was fixing his "Manbeans" and Frank was fixing the fish & Rice.  I sampled the fish, It was good.
Dark thirty arrived and I was fading fast.  Headed home.

Nice to fish with everyone and meet new friends.  I think that I got lucky bringing live bait (that is all we used when I was a kid).

I wish that AJ (my son Adam) and I could have chilled with you last night but AJ had school band commitments.

Thank you Fishunter for telling AJ about boogie boarding and how dangerous the surf can get (yeah I think he needs fins).

You were entertaining with all the hollerin' in the tubes and face carving.

Hope you didn't wake up in the middle of the night with leg cramps.  Hope to meet more of you soon.

Sorry I didn't mention it in my report, yeah FH brought his BB and boogied for about 2hrs straight!  He looked like he was having some fun!  I'm sure he'll chime in here soon enough.  Not sure what happened to the fish heads, Frank kinda took command of the fish, cleaning, prepping, and cooking.  I was good to finally get into some fish.  Last 5 perch outtings I made, were all skunks!  Next time out though, I'm bringing some of those creepy worms!
