Yeah, I liked his idea of using the E-Z Body (fly tying tube material like Chinese finger cuffs) around the iron.  That looked awesome.

Thanks for saying it for me Jim! :smt005
He does give some decent tips but his techniques overall are really sloppy. Don't know how many times he said, I'll just eyeball it.  I think you'd find a lot better techniques with a little searching online.

LOL, that's what I like about the guy! Even if your lure isn't prefect, it still catches fish. Of course, I may just be trying to justify my own sloppiness  :smt044
Searching is half the fun: life is much more manageable when thought of as a scavenger hunt as opposed to a surprise party. -Jimmy Buffett

One of the best flyfishermen I've ever know was famous for making flies out of old chip bags. His name was Bill Shadt and he could catch fish like knowbodies business. Used rods that were re-reglued, paper clips for guides taped on. His place was a junk yard, but man could he catch fish... :smt002 It's not a reflection of tallent for sure. Some of the best well outfitted GQ anglers out there can't cast thier way out of a paper bag, but they look good. Shop owners love em too... Personally I think I've found my new hero!! You know this guy knows the score. I loved his shop, full of experiments gone bad, and some discoveries only he'll know. That gentlemen, is a true pioneer of our wonderful sport. Cuts his own path... :smt023

anybody that has seen my kayak or my gear (except my KZ rod, which at least is one-of-a-kind) would know I would be a fan of this guy.
