Ok so i went out to the oap on saturday. The weather was ok no wind ,good tide,but no bites! Not even a ray! got to see two sturgies jump though. Hope someone got something saturday. Anyways its better than staying at home.

Yeah! not to mention missing the AOTY event at Aquan. I just took the Water Distribution exam with CDPH Public Drinking Water System yesterday. The result will be mailed to me on April03 but I think I made it.

My take on the OAP is that, it matters how far you are when it comes to whatever
fish you are after. I find it that the more further out you go, the bigger and none
stop action of bat ray. Around 1 1\2 to 2 miles out you'll be on the sturgeon zone.
I could be wrong of course but, that was my take during the times I had gone out
with some folks out there. I like that place a lot.

maybe thats what i did wrong we only made it about a mile. was a lil bit crowded out further so i stayed back to have some space.maybe next time. By the way how deep do ya fish out there?

I prefer the 16' to 20' shelf 1-3/4 to 2 miles out. It's where I've gotten most of my best hook ups. Last couple of times I've been skunked. So putting OAP on the shelf for the rest of '09.
