KWs shoulder isnt ready yet (beware the high brace) and Moto has gone domestic.
Luckily for me the NCKA looks ready to ride. Both will loan their boats(Hula and Frenzy) if we need them.
Im planning to check out Caspar sunday March 15th and Doran trips to follow soon after.
all pending conditions that are "safe".
want to go out as much as I can before RF season so my skills are sharp when im in a loaded boat.

March 20-22 is the Santa Cruz kayak Surf Festival and I may head down for that.
also weather dependent and what the fishing/river conditions up here are like.
Any SC locals planning on checking this out?

I'd be down for any Doran trips.

In Loving Memory of Mooch, Eelmaster, Shicken, and Cabeza De Martillo

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

Yes!  I'll rinse it off if you're looking for volunteers.

Ahhh, I was thinking of rinsing it out at Doran myself. I'd be willing to let someone give it a try while we're out there tho. Where is this "Caspar" place? The think I like about Doran, first it's close by, and second the waves are tamer there. Good for practicing your surf entry and exiting. More like the conditions you would tyically attempt on a fishable day.

It not that near to you, probably.  Its up here in Fort Bragg.  It's a great protected cove that produces small waves (like Doran) when its big on the outside.  Its a popular spot for SOT kayak surfing.  It also has great access for some spearo action - as Ravensblack suggested.  Good diving spot.
