Awesome man! I was 22 when I found out I was going to be a dad. I was very excited and nervous too. There is nothing to be afraid of. It can be hard at times but it's the greatest feeling in the world. Before you know it he/she will be running full speed. My son will be two in 3 weeks. Nothing at all to be afraid of. Just keep a clear head, and try not to get overwhelmed.

James,

Great and happy news. I am the happy dad of a 7 mo old girl....Don't stress. Your little one could care less as long as you do your best and love him/her with all your heart. You'll figure it all out. Honestly, you will be a great dad!

Would this little girl lie to you?

Congratulation James. I take it that this is your first child. Definitely a blessing to
be a dad. It takes a lot of work but, it is all worth it. Don't worry about anything.
The father instinct that is in you will just kick in whenever you run in to any
trouble.

Enjoy your children while they are kids, because before you know it they are grown and have left the nest!
I speak from experience, my Daughter is now 19 and I'm no longer the most important man in her life :smt010

Congrats Poppa to be, raise them with love, set limits and teach them respect. It's also OK to tell them NO.

Being a dad rules.  Remember to slow down and enjoy it because it goes by FAST.  My son is already making plans for when he moves out, it seems like he was just a little kid yesterday.

Congratulations!

Banjotad is right on the money. It's soooooo easy to get caught up in the fray of keeping all the balls in the air, and time just evaporates. All of a sudden they're bigger than you (boys), smarter than you and making their owns lives.

When we were expecting our first a friend of mine said having children would fill a void in our lives we didn't know existed. He was absolutely right. A lot of work, but big big fulfillment and joy.

Enjoy!

Yeah, this is the truth.   Mine's 21 and out of the house.  When I see young families I get all misty and stuff.  You don't realize it at the time, but raising your kids is the best days of your life.
