Birds Fishing Pictures

I got these in an email from a friend and thought I'd share - anybody out there have more?

Yeah, here's some birds fishing. Not so pretty now, eh?  

Sean, Erik, and I hit Tomales last season and this guy was on Hog Island when I stopped to use the facilities.....

Maybe it was a omen of things to come......

Now that is what I call a double hook-up - sweet!

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures to contribute.

A golden eagle tearing into it's prey

New Melones Reservoir Bald Eagle, saw two different ones that day.

Cool golden eagles and bald eagles...here is a delta local that I was able to drift to within about 12 feet and snap several close shots.  I don't know what kind of bird it is, so any bird watchers can chip in their two cents worth.

HB - that's an American Bittern, pretty common marsh bird but usually not seen too often due to it hanging in the tules.  Only other bird of that size, habitat and general look would be a juvenile black-crowned night heron.  A key field mark on the bittern is that black-green vertical streak on the side of the neck. Nice pics!  John
