craig-the pelicans came through quickly then they were gone.
the rod holder is a fancy ram from hook1.  it is mounted left, but the rod points over the ff (not installed yet) to the right.  i reinforced the deck underneath with some starboard because the ram holder exerts a lot of torque on the deck.  will see how it holds up after a summer of but/striper trolling.

allen-i tied a long bungee to the rear factory rigging, other end to the rudder v cleat.  so it is a poor copy of tote's quick release system.  loop above anchor float, bungee through loop, yank on tag end to release for "slayride"...(that's for zee) :smt003. it was a off at an angle, but the boat did not swing.
i have a question for your trident rigging.  i believe your's has a soft battery box suspended in your hull. is that ocean kayak merchandise or did you make it? i need one.

Chris:

perfect.  that is essentially what I have on my Prowlers.  Works great.

For sturgeon probably better than the factory pulley system. I had a tense couple moments trying to free my anchor when i caught my one sturgeon at OAP....

The battery case is factory, let me see if i can get one for you.

Hey, I'm glad someone got one. I fished from 9:00 or 9:30 til about 2:00 not far from kingfisher, jason and mike, maybe another hundred yards or so further out. Nice day, calm water except for the rippin tide. I used ghost and grass shrimp combo and didn't even get a bullhead this time.

WTG Chris!!  I am glad to hear someone got one!!

On the way to Loch Lomond, there was a rooster running down highway 101.  I wasn't sure what to make of it.

I ended up with one leopard and that was it.    It came as I was checking my VM on my cell phone.

Here is a picture of Chris Pre-Sturgeon as we were leaving.

Yeah, you guys all suck big donkey @#% for being able to fish in February. I sure heard the hootin and hollering from my hick-ass brother! I think I'm his good-luck charm. If I wasn't staying warm with all the ladies, I'd move back there  :smt003

and it's just not cool to say "nice job on messing with your little brother"...

Nice one, Chris!

We were fishing just south of the pumphouse in Bob's boat. Bob landed a 57" sturgeon right when the tide turned and that was it. No other bites for the three of us fishing ghost/grass/mud shrimp.

Sturgeon was released also.
