Team Willits Eel drift

Just the facts; a fellow Willits yaker and I did 7 miles and only caught a 20.5 fish.
I can't wait to do it again. Awesome scenery and solitude.
The river keeps getting lower, had to drag the boats over one pour-over.

keel guard? i need that, to stretch another 3 years out of my used one.

Adam, you've seen my Rhino bed liner keel guard, haven't you? It finally came off after a year. I trimmed it down and re-applied it with some marine adhesive. W/o it I could poke a hole throught the hull with my finger. All that dragging from loading/unloading took its' toll on the ol' Quest, now good as new, (hopefully).
Yeah, 20" is good, but last year we would have hooked 3 or 4 adult fish apiece.

you glued it on last year....I remember now!    did you make it or order it from somewhere?   I might have to try that melting-a-plastic-bottle thing first though.
Then after I burn a hole through the bottom, I can order a keel guard to fix that.

I had the guy at the truck accessory shop put some bed-liner on as the shield. After it came off it was still the right shape for the re-apply.

did you guys fish the main?

my grandfather did really good drifting from where the two

forks meet

Futhel, the main is the only section open to fishing right now due to low flow closures.
