So I'm thinking of heading up after work tomorrow, trying to get the packing done now.  Do I need to get another site for Friday?  Seems like most peops be coming Sat.

Btw, bringing the dutch oven to do some beans and cinnamon rolls ;) Also bringing some chicken and sandwich stuff.

No clue what to bring for surf fishing, as I have never done it before.  Guess i'll toss some cheap tackle in a box and grab a couple poles and hope for the best ;)

hey, Joel -
I think i will join up on Saturday morning for some perch fishing but not sure how we will hook up.     What time should we meet you where?    Looks like HMB is a big beach and i am not familiar with it.   Do we just go down Kelly Street?

Also, about the mountain bikes -  isnt it hard to ride with all the gear - rod, waders, etc.?  And when you ride along the bluff and see somewhere you want to fish, what do you do with the bike?   If i leave the bike home, am i then unlikely to be able to meet up wiht you?

If somehow we should miss the rendezvous point and time, will you be accessible by cell phone so we can still connect?

Sorry for all the pesky questions, but i am not that familiar with that area.

Lawrence

Communications?  Since we'll be on land, technically we can't use the VHF's (I'll still have mine though) I do have my FSR radios I can bring if anyone else has them? Have they been used for other events in the past? If so what a popular channel? I guess this won't make much difference as most everyone who'll be there probably won't be going home after work today.  Oh well.
Guess I'll find out tomorrow.  I'm planning to stop at the bean on my way up and see if anyone happens to be there.

Communication : VHF channel 69 - just keep it on the low down...or bring binocs and look for a good looking guy with a green hat :smt002....... Look for vehicles with "NCKA" stickers...

I will have my cell with me.

The mountain bike is a good option to have - I'd like to explore the shores near the HMB Ritz - just pack light and take the bike to the shoreline with you.
