Franken-Mar

Just thought I would post a few pic's of Franken-Mar.  This started off as a Penn Del Mar 285, and Newell Stand and Posts that didn't fit the reel.  Of course I didn't let that stop me.  I like this reel, my brother in law gave it to me a few months ago, and I was bound to tinker with it.  Notice the pic next to a Penn 155 you can see how narrow the spool is, even more narrow than a 500/99 conversion special.  I threw the hanhandle off of a 500 on it, AT service on it, and Dremeled/hand filed things till it fit.  Then I couldn't find hardware for it, so I picked upa  piece of Stainless all thread and some nylock nuts.  Of course those didn't fit inside the Newell parts, so out came the drill and the fine bits, until they fit.  Here is the final result.
