Not much to post, river is high and murky from the recent rains. No striper action. Plenty of carp and beavers splashing everywhere. Dave came a little late, nice to meet you and hop you got into some fish after I left..... Beautiful out there, pics and video to follow.

Hey, at least you got out there.  One lottery ticket played.  Did the wind push you around?

I have to learn to set my phone alarm correctly next time out. I finally showed up at 7:30. Water temp was 49.5, river was high and very murky. My fish finder was acting up, but I was fishing. No hits bites or nibbles. Beautiful weather with no wind. Lots of wildlife. I am saving up for a pair of breathable waders, tired of the cold feet!! Jeff is a great guy with lots of knowledge. This is the First time I have had my yak out in 2 months!! Looking forward to the Stanislaus , Tuolumne, Merced rivers and the Delta as things warm up!!!!!

Keep posting for hookups at the dog pound, I'm just 15 minutes from there and enjoy it.

Ive heard of some huuuuge pigs sighted in the big pools at Knights Ferry. I think they go up there to breed in the clean water.

thanks for that info. Ive caught alot of trout on that knights ferry down to orangeblossom stretch but never knew to hunt for striper.  We worked panthermartins through the moving waters for big numbers but never any real size. Occasionally we would run into a guide operating out of a big inflatable tooner ,flinging flys, but I had always assumed they were hunting trout.   moron

Hey Jeff,

Glad to hear you still have your kayak and you got a chance to get out on the water. Any idea when you will be heading out again?

Take Care,
Ray

sorry to hear about the reformat. was looking forward to seeing those.
would like to see a report from the K.F to O.B stretch, esp if you can find big striper up there.
I found some shots from the stani from back when we had water.   good times.
great river to work on your paddle skills but be prepared to swim and watch out for strainers.

Wow looks like some good water movement there. What part of the Stani is that?
