2008 was my first time to the Elk Rockfish Fiesta and it was great.

I have been looking for a better way to hook on to my kayak to transport up and down the hill and I believe I have found the item that will work, substitute the deer in the picture for a kayak on a wheelez cart . . . it has two shoulder strap loops and a band for around the middle, comes with a tow rope - $7.99 from basspro

I made something very similar for Elk. I used a single padded shoulder strap from a gear bag and attached it to an old shortened NRS kayak strap and put a brass clip on the end. . It's totally adjustable, works great and was free. It's as good for the sand as it is for the hill. My Adventure weighs a ton, I had to do something.
So I'm packing my bags for the Misty Mountains, where the spirits go...........

Guitarzan will probably use a length of  bull kelp as he has already found other uses for it. :smt044

Just make sure you have it in front of you on the downhill, or it will be ramming you in the back on the way down  :smt003

yes it WORKED FINE!!  if the rope is too long, it will DRAG NOSE. It has to be no longer than arms length. When you strap your wheels on, be sure that they are in the middle(centered for balance) if the wheels are too far back, your yak will feel VERY FRONT HEAVY. By balancing it out, once the rope is attached to the handle, and then around your shoulder, the yak will feel VERY LIGHT, making it possible to pull uphill easier.
I found that if the rope is too long, it will be a bear to control.
It worked GREAT!!  no need for a fancy harness!

i use a nrs strap through a pool noodle.  i have to hold the strap in my right hand to direct the nose of the yak off my calf on the down hill.  i t works very well on the uphill.
