Just want everyone to know this is my first post!  :smt006

Launched around 9:30AM from Lawson's Landing and peddled out directly across to the other side. On my way a sea lion popped his head up near me to say hi....all I was thinking is please don't follow me to the other side, because I didn't feel like feeding him all my bait! This was my second trip out here this year and I managed to limit out on rock crabs and 3 dungies on my last trip. The tide was going out and was moving pretty good, but I managed to set out 5 crab rings with chicken and squid. Beached the Hobie and cracked open a beer, then I tried to use a snare from shore, but too much sea weed. After about 1/2 hour I pulled up the rings and averaged about 1 keeper (reds/rock) per ring. I got about 17 in my first 2 hours, and got another 10 over the next 3 hours, including 1 keeper dungie, and 1 large red. Once the tide started rolling in the rings started moving all around........so I called it quits around 3pm and headed back over.

It was a perfect day, and made for a great day of crabbing!

Okay, I got my first post out of the way :smt003 Hope to meet some of you NCKA on the water!

All you guys fishing OAP....I'm jealous! That looks like soooo much fun!

Welcome to NCKA and congratulations on the keepers. You've tempted me to go there for some crab next week.

You probably know that Tomales Bay holds some delicious clams as well. I can't wait til the low tides in April.

That's about the same for me, I remember no keeper dungies and hoops FULL of red/rock crabs, and I do mean full,

All these beautiful pics on the board are killing me, work (thankfully) and family (oh well) have kept my dry since November.

Welcome, great first post, posts with pics of edibles are the best.....

Makinitcount,

What kind of bottom did you set the traps on and at what depth?
