The Islander in October was the last time I Fished  :smt120

It was time, so with a small window and a incoming tide I found soon that Ghost Shrimp have left the

East Bay and none was to be had. Picked up some Tray Herring and off to the launch. Nice at first, but soon

the east winds picked up and I phoned in a Real time weather report to GuitarZan that he might want to abort the PM shift.

Waited it out with one Good Slam in the Chop, and then the wind laid down around 12:00,...

Give GuitarZan another call.. " All is Well... :smt001 "

Nothing more for me but nice to be back in the Yak and Greeting the NCKA Boys for shift change as I raced off to get the Fellas  :smt052  from school..

Waiting for the Report GuitarZan and Ariel,  wished I could have stayed,

Looked like it was going to be a Great Afternoon......... :smt004

Nice effort.  After the last week's series of dino reports, I wonder why the shops are out of shrimp!

Nice pics. Where did you  try to get bait? A lot of people are going to need it this coming weekend. Glad you got to get out on the water.Next time.

Jeez. Look at the harsh conditions Ben and team had to deal with!  :smt003

Too bad it wasn't like that for your shift, Danglin!

PM crew dialing in Guitarzan & I paddled into a giant calm swimming pool. No chop, no wind, sky was clear sun was blazing, equals a beautiful 3 hours on the water. The day and conditions rocked but no fish were to be had this day. Marked fish on the finder worked 2 different depths but we couldn't dodge the inevitable skunk. Hope Friday turns out better. Yakaroo & I will be hitting the water.

Going out again Friday. If you all need ghost shrimp this weekend be sure to stop by Castro Valley Sportsmen's Center. (510) 537-8191. 3794 Castro Valley Blvd, Castro Valley, CA 94546.

They had a big supply of Ghost and Grass come in today. It will be a good place to get your bait if the Oakland shops are dry. Or just pump em like I do!

Ariel... do you work bro??? I think you've been on the water like... every day since you nailed your sturg. Man... that must be nice.

I guess the skunk train was bound to stop at OAP with all the hook ups we've been getting there.

We have to wait for a minus tide at Tomales to pump shrimp. Where do you do it over there? Good try on the pm shift. Damn, now Sunday is looking more confusing.

That's the cool thing about having internet on my Blackberry. Logged on 18hrs a day on NCKA well thats what it says on my homepage when I click on NCKA.

Getting as much water time this year is my goal. With my schedule it will work out.
