I was going to put this in "it happened to me"...

First... I had the flu bug everyone has had and slept like crap all week, and burning the candle at both ends and in the middle preparing for the show, and driving back and forth from Fairfield each day thru work traffic.

Second, I have been chugging Robitussin, Ziacam, Benadrl,... trying to open enough of my lungs up to breathe a full breath.

So, Saturday at ISE I got a break from the Wilderness Unlimited booth, and went over to a "secret" bathroom I know of on the San Mateo Fairgrounds campus, where no one uses, it is peaceful and quiet, no one waiting in line, and there are no kids peeing on the seats.

3:37pm I go into the "handicap" throne to do my daily constitutional, and while in there doing my deed I "just rested" my eyes, since I forgot to bring something good to read, only to be rudely awakened at 4:13 by Security banging on the door and shouting " hey buddy, you ok in there?" Ruined a perfectly good nap!  :smt013 I was probably snoring away! I don't remember anything else in between, so I must have been out like a light. I didn't pass out from toxic gases.  :smt003 Didn't even get to really finish. I had to go back in 5 minutes later and make a second deposit.

He's always bustin' my balls about something!...and I'm sure this was another B-BustingMoment.

It was fun&scary at times to be "cultured" for two nights in a row....Frinight was my first Real_Pho experience, after that it was my first taste of IcedTea w/those big-dark tapioca balls in it...VERY YUMMY (x2)!!

When we were in the ChowLine...I had to stick around PapaBill and ask if it was SAFE for me to try.....I don't like wasting food, so i grab things I know I will eat. Them SNAILS were not going to get past my first chew attempt&test, so I didn't even try one....we did see those same snails in the DFG booth the next day at the show though...they were labled as a InvasiveFreshWaterSnail at were encase in plastic.Mooch took a pic of them for an actual comparison...EEWWW!

Sweet report Mooch & all. It's almost like I was there (I did almost lick the monitor when I saw the pics of the hokkido feasting)!

Mooch, that was really cool that you showed off your AOTY award from a few years ago. I missed the ISE this year since I was busy carving & sanding the awards for 2009. Wish I'd gone now, just to hang with all of the NCKA crew that I miss during the Looong winter RF closure.
