Take a look at the Promar fold down crab net.  Its light and works well for me.  I think I paid $22 at a local bait shop.

I have 4 foldable pots. I don't know much about crabbing. I would be willing to give you a setup free with rope and buoy if you are willing to take me with you and teach me the tricks.
