My W60 has been ordered and I'm anxiously awaiting delivery...  :smt041  The guy in the De Anza mailroom is getting tired of me popping in every day asking "Anything yet???"  :smt003

i love everything about my olympus 1030SW.  does everything i've tried with it and although i do have to remove the batt to charge, i've used it on trips to the sierras and the clear lady with hydrospider and the team bridgeport fellas for up to 2 weeks on a single charge.

good luck with your decision

So I finally pulled the trigger and got a Olympus stylus 1050sw for $209 at fotoconnection.com Here's the link: http://www.fotoconnection.com/p93158-olympus-stylus-1050-sw-101-megapixel-waterproof-3x-optical-zoom.html

Oh, and they have the Stylus 850sw for just $179.

I'll be sure to write a review after using it for a while.

I have the olympus 850sw.  It has been to costa rica for surfing and snorkling, shaver lake in near freezing water and I have dropped it a lot.  I love the pictures it takes and the abuse it accepts.

I'm pretty sure fotoconnection.com is one of those online camera scam sites.  Don't be surprised when they call you back to let you know that your battery, manual, power cord etc.. are very pricey extras that you'll want to add to your order.

Here's a complaint thread on Photo.net.

http://photo.net/neighbor/view-one?neighbor_to_neighbor_id=163985

There are tons of online camera shops that do this sort of thing.  The few shops I trust are Adorama, Abes of Maine, B & H, and Amazon.   When you see a price for a camera online that is too good to be true, do a google search for "[company name] scam" and see what shows up.  This problem is so bad that there is even a scam site that gives these scam companies great reviews as part of the scam.

Do yourself a favor and cancel this order.  If you have problems cancelling with them directly call your credit card company for help.

Ditto what Brian said I always make sure that I buy Electronics from an  Authorized Dealer. I've been very happy with Abe's my sister bought a Nikon SLR from them and they didn't have the lens she ordered when she got her Camera they had sent a loner lens for her to use while hers was on backorder her lens came 2 weeks later with a UPS Call Tag.
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

I've used Adorama for several purchases (totalling $1400) and was quite happy with the service.

Dang! I hope fotoconnection don't try to pull a scam (I read plenty of positive reviews on their site). But it was strange to see the 1050 for 20 bucks less than Adorama, B&H, and Abe's of Maine.
