Geeeez.  When I grow up, I wanna catch sturgeon like Erik :smt003  If you put a notch on your kayak each time you caught one, it would have sunk a looong time ago!

Good fishin', fellas...

The Trident 15 made record time up to the honey hole and quiet as a whisper on anchor... I like the yak all the way around.

I attached the anchor release line to the pin of the rudder... worked well with the rudder flipped up.

Yah was a beautiful day, had to cut out early to play daddy...but did manage a few small leopards, and a long distance (about 10 feet) release of what was clearly a shaker-- she did her best immitation of a marlin, and threw a really really sharp owner k hook..
be back out on monday & tues again

WHEW! 3 days of madness in the last five.....and i'm getting a bit confused where i've been and what I've hunted.  :smt009

but I can remember YoungMasterKunz proving once again....that it pays to hit that hole that has previously paid-off , when the tide&WX allow it.
Congrads Erik!!  You are the FIRST! to inspire me to even think of attempting such a thing......Glad I was there to witness it this time. :smt002
andKEEPINGyourMOUTHwhileONtheANCHOR?...is a MUST!  :sleepy4:

Took a must-fish-day-off and drove the 30 min to the camp.Wind was supposed to pick-up later, but you never know about that side&area of the bay shoreline.Got there to find everyone was already out. Sat around and tried to pull my bait from the pesky-varmits' as they where in full force. Then we moved to the deeper water near the rock. Didn't mark a single fish on the FF.
Was off the water after the sun and warmth disappeared behind the hill.

As a matter of fact... here's my favorite.

Kingfisher has a method for more conventional smoked sturgeon that is really good... Chris... can you share your method?  I remember white pepper being key.
