2009 rockfish opener

I believe the season opens early (May 15th) North of Point Arena. I know it's early but is anybody making plans yet? I plan on going for at least 3 days. I haven't decided where yet. I'm thinking maybe Shelter Cove or something secluded like that. I'm also considering launching from somewhere and yaking a few miles north or south and beach camping in order to fish some rarely fished water.

We are 5 months out and I am already starting to plan. I think marinated carne asada, fish tacos and coronas would make a good dinner for the first day of the season.

wow...I hope you are a project manager by profession!  I can hardly plan my next weekend with any accuracy

 

Amp. I like your way of thinking.  At the very least I can join in on Sunday, 15th is Friday.  I'll check and see if I can get the week off--granny can die only so many times.

Hey I'm there on the opening for sure, weather permitting of course.

I cant speak for Norm or Dave W but by that time I will be ready for sure. I am  going to try and make some custom jigs for lings this winter.Count me in!

I'm in.  I've a couple of ideas of my own for an overnight camp/rockfish combo.

I hope to have my man-trailer done by then. Anything worth doing is worth planning for!

Welcome Domenic, I believe we fished together last summer around Trinidad.  I took you to my hot spots and I never caught a fish--but you did.  We won't hold it against you that you run with Abking.

  Hey, us Loletans gotta stick together Abking, we are an army of 2! Tim, thanks for the tour off of Trinidad last summer. I especially liked the place you referred to as the washing machine. LOL. The grey whale munchin on bait wasnt bad either! Come down to the mouth and we'll drift the channels for starry flounder this spring. Take care and remember those new years resolutions--more time on the water!

I'm in for the rf opener at Shelter Cove! We should aim to start on the Friday tho', since it will probably be closed by the Sunday.
