Thanks, Sean, I was wondering if anyone would catch the reference.

No points are involved at this time, however.  But watch out next year, I'm just getting started.  Have trough, will travel...  Hoping/dreaming for a top 10 spot 09.

Nice job on the smallie.

BTW it seems my FF is dying....  moisture got inside somehow.  Seems funny that it survived multiple crashes at BH only to fail due to dew??  Perhaps I shouldn't leave it outside on the yak.

I don't think your FF is kaput.  Mine did that too.  Take it out of the boat and store it in a warm, dry place for few days.  For me this is above the hot water heater (not too hot though).  It should be fine after that.  Storing the FF in a moist place does that.  I always take mine off the boat now and store it in the house.

YES!!  &always and give it a rinse too.....spray/squirt some anti-corrosion stuff in/on the terminals...they will rust from the inside-out...and then it's too late.

Everything always gets a rinse at home, but I've left it attached figuring the fewer times it gets plugged/unplugged the better.  But now I know better, thanks.

And yes, Corrosion X and Dielectric grease are on hand at all times and are dispensed liberally.
