i was thinking if i could find those same fish...
high is not till after 11, so probably not launch till about 9:30 ( i love these late launches).
Gonna launch from either the bayfront park launch (next to marin rod and gun) or over at the windsurfer launch.

I am thinking of launching there on Wednesday from 10am to 1:30pm.

Company welcome!

Any word if there are fish being caught out of Bucks landing?  I had an awesome 20 fish day out there last year at this time, with some folks from Elric's old NorCal Kayak fishing Yahoo board.

at buck landing

Earlier in the year, a bunch of us (headed by Erik K.) launched out of Buck's Landing to fish for Sturgeon....I remember when Josh (Pro Spark) paddled back in with a 60 # sturgeon - the guys (duck hunters mostly) were impressed and they also thought we were nuts for launching in such horrible (cold, choppy & wet) conditions. We actually donated a NCKA group photo of the crew that went out on that day. It should be hanging on the wall of that little bar....

sorry to hear new orleans is your home. I drove through there march 2004, with my family, my wife had her 40th birthday dinner there.  She had never been, I'm so glad I took her. One of the few non-globalized places left in the continental united states. Fantastic place.

then we drove up the natchez trace parkway in mississippi. They got smacked super hard too. I feel sorry for mississippi. nobody cares about them. last on everybodies list.

strangely, we got cracked by a hurricane in baja in september 2003:

the last one is of the la paz harbour.

we were in pescadero near todos santos, eye went right over us. I still have the nightmares of floating away on my surfboard with my two boys, one under each arm.

nothing like katrina tho. holy cow. pretty much beyond imagination.
