I saw a boatramp sign off 680 no just befor I-80 off the Parish Road exit. I am guessing this accesses the Suisin Marsh area. I stopped along the road and heard lots of gun fire, waterfowl maybe. Anyway, anyone ever fished this area? Stripers? Sturgeon? - Rob

There is a long unused boat ramp, used to be called Pierce Harbor, they went out of business, then it was privately held but still available for use, stick $5 in the mail box kinda stuff, in the last few years it has been clearly posted as private, and not for public use, the ramp is covered with mud and the dock is sinking (if it's still there), the launch is into a small slough and it eventually leads out to Suisun and Montezuma sloughs, but it's a long ways to get to any fishable water (unless you want to try in the little slough)......

I went in there this summer hoping that it might again be available, but nope, the signs clearly say, "if you know what's good for you, you'll stay out"

If you drove in and took the time to contact someone who lives down there you might have some luck, It never hurts to ask, well almost never,

For me it would only be a pleasure paddle as it is a long ways to water where you might reasonably expect to catch something nice.  So I never took the time to try and find anybody to talk to,

Thanks Dale,

The location and the amount of gunfire lead me to believe finding some friendly folks to talk to might be challenging!
