Rockfishing was good on Saturday on the west side of the kelp beds in 60-90 feet. Best bet was along the edge. Got breezy around 10am was a deal breaker for the rest of the day as it was a strong offshore blow. Sunday was nicer, reds were hitting good early in 110 - 120 ft west of the beds. Farallon flies were working a little better than shrimp flies w/ a pc of squid. Metal was also bringing in the larger fish. WInd picked up again at 11am, inshore this time! - Rob

Thanks for the report Diroblo. It sounds like you had a nice day kayak fishing.
Congrats on the reds and rockfish.

Diroblo,
Nice to meet you Sunday,
Great string of Reds you had there, really wanted to hit the border of Pinnacles but brought some newbies and wanted to make sure they were safe, and having fun (maybe next year)
Didn't realize you had posted so I posted a report also.

No problem Eric, you had better pictures anyway!

Here is my first ocean fish from a kayak, as Scallen and Frank said its half a sandwich!
