Hi Everyone,

We left Fremont at 4:30 am.  Got to HMB at 5 am.  The Harbor Patrol was at the dock checking on safety equipment on each boat and not letting the small boats from going out.  30 to 40 mph winds blowing for land to sea.  We check out OK.  Whaler 22 ft with 5 guys and 9 crab pots.

Had chicken parts, cat food, mackerel and squid to bait the traps.   Waited for more light and see what the seas really looked like.....decided to drop the traps and if it was too rough to fish.  Then, just dock the boat and get breakfast.

Getting threw JAWS was a little rough.  Breakers were big at low tide.  Went out to 180 ft and dropped the traps.  Seas were better on the outside.  But, the wind was the problem.

Went next to Moss Beach and started fishing.  No Rockcod or Lings.  4 hrs of trying for them and I got a little under size Ling.

We went to check the traps and got 35 med. size crabs and a few rockcrab.  Lots of small crab and a few females.  All thrown back.  Re-baited the traps and stayed on the outside for sand dabs.  Wind die at around 10 am and it was nice the rest of the day.  Afternoon, it was like a lake.  Got, a lot of Dabs and bullheads and a few kingfish and jack smelt.

Check the traps around 3pm and found that at high tide 4 traps were moving around.  Line too short and no crabs.  Ended up with 10 more and  headed for the dock.
