It has been a month now since I have taken my kayak for a ride. I had originally
planned on going to Fort Ross packed and ready to go the night before but woke
up with a migraine. After taking some migraine medicine and sleeping for another
4 hours, I was good to go again except the mild headache after sneezing. I figured
it is not worth the trip to Fort Ross so I decided to do some striper fishing in the
Napa River instead. Fished for about 4 hours for one bite that didn't stick. Called it
quits when the rain started coming down. Used bullhead on a drift.

It's one of those days, huh. I was there last Saturday. On the water around 7:30am about 2 hours before the high tide. Got 2 shakers. The water started to head back out when I got my ~25" keeper. I have to admit, for some reason, they were not that active over the weekend. Napa River striper bites should be hot this time of the year. I fished around the Napa Valley Club. Just keep fishing.
