What is the one simple thing that you do to your dish, whatever it may be, that makes it better than anyone elses??????

Mine is steamed carrots.....Healthy but Ewwwww.
After steaming sprinkle powdered sugar on them. It dissolves so there is no appearance of it at all but makes them soooooo tasty. Got this from the chef at Josh's in Tahoe.

My granny made wonderful carrots.  I have never been able to replicate that special taste.  I always thought it was the heart stopping mound of butter that she cooked them in?  Will give your way a try.
When preparing fish I like to dribble a lime on them while they are still on the grill.  I wring out that lime to the last drop.

That's a big time Restaurant Trick if it don't taste right add a little sugar.

Add a touch of "Pappy's" seasoning. Gives alittle kick to anything.

oh man... any grilled fish. Great on chicken and steak too. Not so good on crab...
I actually had a class up at Ramekins where we did something similar with a Salmon in parchment.

This may be a little reversed and more in the preparation but any shark that I cook gets a bath in milk for a few hours. Really cleans up the flavor of the meat.

Oh yeah, and Old Bay for chowders! :smt002
