I added a line guide at the first screw (near the flags.)  That holds the cables down a bit lower.  I used a cable holder.

Interesting idea. Pulling the wire down at an angle doesn't create too much friction on the rudder control? Can you show us a picture please if you don't mind? I'd like to see how you implemented your idea--I like the principle.

I used the enbedded nut that was already there, and just added a cable holder.  I also tied on some bungee material to take the slack out of the line when not engaged.

Sweet! What rudder did you use--the OK one or another. And where did you buy the Sea Dogs? I was hoping I'd be ready for the MBK TOurney but it's looking dicey--I'll be on the P-15 instead.

Yester!

Did you get a fishfinder yet?  If you did you might want to relocate your compass somewhere else for it might get effected by your fishfinder.

Those pedals look great.  How easily does the Feathercraft go up/down?  My OK rudder is damn near impossible to lower OTW and it makes me NUTS!!!!

cant compare it to the OK rudder, but compared to my old wilderness, the feathercraft moves like cutting hot butter.  Its had plenty of chances to get sand in it, but it doesnt seem to get stuck in there.

I demo-paddled an OK P-15 with  rudder and I recall some difficulty deploying the rudder as well--it was very sluggish and I didn't like the stickiness of it. The rudder cords to deploy and retract are placed in holes on the rudder that made it difficult to get it moving down to deploy--it stuck like molasses and it took a slow steady pull to get it down--it felt like it wasn't moving at first when I pulled.

That's one of the reasons I didn't select OK's rudder for my T-15--the other is cost--the KSF rudder was a little cheaper and I could substitute the Sea Dog Toe Pilots for the standard slide controls  for credit which saved even more. Of course I have no idea if my alternate choice is any better in deploying. I'll have to wait until I get it, install it, and deploy it..

Here are the two brackets for the transducer that have been cut to size down.  You can get both at Home Depot.  The second one is the flat aluminum piece.
