New Melones, Sat Oct. 25

Will be joining my wife on a business trip to Angels Camp this weekend and while she works, my son and I will be giving New Melones a try.  I have never been to the lake but am a competent bass angler having done it for years and fished lots of tourneys back in the 90's.  Sounds like the water is way down and the fish are likely still in the hot weather doldrums, but since we'll be there, we have to give it a go.  Let me know if anyone plans to be out there this Saturday and would like to hook up to fish, or if you have some guidance for the lake this time of year, feel free to PM me so the spot stealing hordes don't get the intel.....

Thanks for the intel guys.  We fished Angel Creek yesterday and a pond up the hill called White Pine today and did pretty good both trips.  I'll post some pics later on a report.

Lawrence, good to hear from you, we'll have to get the boys out again once the spring rains stops and the smallies in the Russian wake up again.
