Anyone use one? I am looking for feedback.
Shannon and I test paddled the OK Prowler 13, the Malibu X-13 and the Tarpon T-140.
We both fell in love with the X-13 and are thinking of getting two of them the first of the year.
Looking for thoughts from some folks that have more time in the saddle then a few hours at a demo event.

Thanks all!

Had a Prowler 13 and wanted more speed so went with the Prowler 15. I did a 1 hour paddle on the X-13 and was not impressed. I don't like that front bow and the way it is flat...unlike the more upswept bow on the OK kayaks. I'm 6-2/210 and when I hit some medium size waves (2') and boat wakes, I had water washing over the front deck. I also paddled a Manta Ray and was pretty impressed, but went with the OK because of deck design (flatter and uncluttered). One of my tests is to dump a bucket of water (or 2) on a hatch to see if any leaks..not a perfect test, but if water gets inside..not good..especially in big waves or a surf landing. Good luck to you.

Back when I was selling MK boats I was really looking forward to the X-13.  I think they did a good job on the hull, but the layout is a big step backwards, and I simply don't get it.  I have been told it was designed with other markets in mind, I hope they get it.

The new Trident 13 is definitely worth a look, same basic size class but I think it has the best layout of any current fishyak...OK even got the footwells right on this one. It is a huge evolutionary improvement over the P-13.  I was drooling over Chris Mautino's on the Islander trip.  Everything you would ever need in a "right-sized" package.

Hey I ride the X-13! It's bad-ass! It's quick, tracks super straight, dry ride,  good layout, roomy yet slim, I can pick it up pretty easy. I've stood up on it in calm water. Haven't spilled yet! (knock on wood) The front hatch is great but has one small drawback, limited access. Not enough of a draw back to outweigh the good. I love my yak. It's seen the Bay, the Ocean, Russian River, Delta, and various lakes. With my GPS it averages 4.4 gmph at an easy paddle. Any other questions pm me. Pull the trigger!

Thanks all!
I have been looking at the T-13 but i really don't like the foot wells.  Maybe i am a weird size, but the OK's just don't fit right to me for some reason.  The X-13 fit like a glove and the maneuverability and the dryness of the ride were better to me then the OK stuff.

Thanks for the tips!
