Bass Pro Shops Grand Opening - Manteca 6pm Wed 10/15

Evening for Conservation
Come out and celebrate your new Manteca Bass Pro Shops on October 15th at 6 PM. We will be holding our ribbon cutting ceremony under the lights, which will be immediately followed by our "Evening for Conservation." In celebration of conservation efforts, education and habit improvement projects around the country, several conservation groups will be on hand to help any questions you may have.

So come out and visit with committee members, biologist, regional directors and chapter members from Pheasants Forever, Quail Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Federation, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Mule Deer, Safari Club International, Ducks Unlimited, California Waterfowl Association, California Inland fisheries Foundation and California Department of Fish & Game.

In addition members from Ducks Unlimited will be hosting small BBQ fundraiser in which they will be selling Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Johnsonville Brats and Coca Cola products to help raise money for chapters in the area. Special thanks to Johnsonville Brats and Stockton Coca Cola for there help in this fundraising efforts.

During the Evening for Conservation .50 cents of every dollar spent will be donated to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation's "More Fish" to save fish and their habitats for our children and future generations to come.

A host of celebrities will be on hand to sign autographs until 9 PM, immediately following the ribbon cutting ceremony. Celebrities such as fishing icons Jimmy Houston, Roland Martin, Bass Pro Shops Pro Staff Edwin Evers, Bass Masters Elite Series Ish Monroe. There will be a host of Hunting stars, such as Bass Pro Shops Pro Staff Brenda Valentine, Jerry Martin and Calling phenom Greg Hubbell Jr. Don't miss out on your need for speed and meet with TSR Motorsports sprint car driver Kraig Kinser and his #20 car & transporter. In addition former NASCAR driver, analyst and hunter Wally Dallenbach will be on hand. Come out and meet Napa's own BMX racer Donny Robinson, who won a Bronze Medal in the 2008 Bejing Olympic Games this summer! Feeling you know your banks, angles and shooting ability on a pool table? Make a $25 donation and you will be able to play against the "Black Widow" herself, Jeanette Lee. For those Lakers fans in Northern California, you have the chance to meet with former 72' Laker Champion Flynn Robinson and former Laker Brian Shaw. Your own Miss Manteca, Ashley Parker will be on hand to meet, greet and sign autographs too! So don't miss a star studded night that celebrates your new Manteca Bass Pro Shops, conservation, education, habitat restoration and the like of many celebrities.

I don't think I'll be there tomorrow, but I'll be there soon. According to google maps, my office is only 16 minutes away. Close enough for a lunch run.

I'll be there, look for my NCKA stickered saturn in the parking lot  Too bad I didnt have any NCKA apparel to wear. I'll propably wear my red Gamakatsu shirt. Look for me in the kayak section  . What time are you planning on going? I wont be able to go until I get off work (4:30)

Can't make it tonight, but I'm thinking of making a run over there Saturday or Sunday.

This sounds like a very cool place.  Kind of like the Cabelas up in Reno, but maybe a lot bigger?

As much I like Bass Pro Shops....I may visit the place sometime but I'll keep supporting the little tackle shops - especially the ones that support NCKA  They'll need our help/business now more than ever.
