Looks like we are in for some rain next Tues/Weds...who knows after that.  The good news...no dust and it should set the fishing OFF!

Guess I'm packing my chesties again then!  As long as the rain is not "Driving sidways" like it did at Del Valle in '07 I'm ok with it!

Bring it on!  A little funky weather always makes camping more interesting.

Since its DRY as a bone here, I would expect a lot of runoff or mud, but precip isn't out of the question.

I have had some very productive rainy day fishing at Mendo in the past!

Care to share more of the specifics of those productive rainy days? :smt003  :smt002

I've been on the lake on a gray morning and watched the fish boil for 10-15 minutes. :smt007 :smt003

I'm still no pro when it comes to striper fishing, but I can say that rainy weather has always been the best fishing for trout. I've had many days when I couldn't get a trout to bite no mater what I was doing, but as soon as you get a little noise and the surface breaks up due to a rain shower, the trout bite suddenly comes alive and it seems you can't go wrong no matter what you're using.

I'd hate to see what a little rain might do to the attendance, but personally, I love fishing and camping in the rain.  :smt007

Looks like it is very likely that there will be rain Friday night into Saturday for BAM. Be sure to bring your rain fly's for your tents and extra tarps if you have them! Hopefully the rain won't muddy up the water too much.

I use the fire weather forecasts that they provide at work and find them to be the most accurate weather forecasts around. Here's the forecast calling for rain Fri/Sat: http://gacc.nifc.gov/oncc/predictive/weather/Fire_Potential.html

You know, I have never camped in the rain before, but am not against it, just thinking I better be a little more prepared for it and bring the rain suit, and couple tarps, etc.

I was looking at the pictures from last years BAM, and was wondering if we are staying in the same place as last year?  Looked like you can just park anywhere and pitch a tent?  If so, I may try and make a tarp canopy over my tent, using my car as an anchor.

Or, if I can fit it, maybe bring the EZ-Up!

I'll be sleeping in my campershell, and have my my EZ up for a dry place to hang.  I might have an extra tarp to bring.  My chest waders are pack up already.  I'd perfer no rain, but ready for it!

Camping in the rain... happens every time for me! :smt005 If you've got a few blue tarps, rope and a little bit of ingenuity it's not that hard to have a great time. If Polepole is going to make the event you'll have a very competent tarp city builder. The EZup's are pimp rain camping gear.

We are camping in the same area...I'll bring an ez up too.  The rain will not have any effect on the water color...I don't expect any runoff at all.  In addition, its forecast to be pretty warm...It should be n ice.
