At the boat launch, Tony and I were packing up and noticed a big crowd gathering around a boat near the fish cleaning station. I took a walk and noticed the two monsters in the boat. A pair of butts! 23 and 38#'s!

A double hook-up in a 14 footer!  THAT must have been a fire drill!

I was not able to view the forum that you linked but that sounds about right. Those fish were huge!
