Lake Mendo Update

Some fish on the surface.  Both boat ramps are now closed.  Small schools of shad showing on the surface with the cooler weather.  Get ready.

I leave in the morning for about 3 weeks.  After I get back I'll hit it hard with flies.

I was out there with binos this am as it felt right, but I didn't see squat.  I saw grebes on bait by the buoys but that was it.  The south launch was open this am...did they close it in the afternoon? 

It will be on soon though.

Was in the paper last night...I think this weekend.  Bait was up around the point over near Crappie Cove....I put in over by the N. ramp.

thanks for the intel guys. thinking friday evening to sling the fluke and drag some agents.
