Need to get a new battery holder...where are peeps getting the 10 cell AA holders? Fry's and Radio Shack only have ones up to 8 cells so I have been forced to use two (an 8 cell and a 2 cell). This requires another set of connections which = a 2nd failure point.

Paul

I use an 8 cell and connect the in a serial connection to a 2 cell then epoxy them together. Radioshack sellls both. BTW, depending on your FF, the 8 cell is often enough depending on the battery output.

I have two of the flat style 10 cell holders with solder tabs.
If someone wants them (free), I'll bring to BAM.

Al... I'd like one if you any left.  The flat style would work better for what I have planned.

The nice thing about using the 8+2 combo is the size of the container. Mines only 4" x 2" and no need for foam packing around the batteries to keep them from sliding around.Small and compact and the container dirt cheap. Don't forget to put dialectic grease all connections and your in line fuse I ended up using the blade style. Here's a couple pic's of the 8+2 combo if you want to see what it looks like.
