:smt006 hello out there... help please.

Deep sea fishing is fun until you get a undersize, small, etc and they get that little bag of air inside their body's. is it ok to pop it ? I noticed they float if you don't. Now, can they survive if that little bag or stomach is pierced ?

Ramon,

I should have showed you the Sheldon Descender I was using at Mill Creek.  I had it attached to my artificial bait rod and used it to return all the gophers I caught.  To make sure returning gophers wouldn't take up too much of my fishing time, I had a 4 oz swim bait at the bottom of my rescue rig so I could jig for rf after the gopher was revived/released.  It worked like a charm although a 6 oz lead head or heavier would have been better.  I got mine at Hi's Tackle in SF for about $4.
