I was at Stillwater N a few weeks a go and stopped in at Timber Cove (Campground) on my way home.  It's just a bit south of Stillwater.  We used to launch inflatables there about 15 yr ago but haven't been there since.  The lady said $6 per yak and we could park at the beach if there's room.  So $6 to drop your yak at the waters edge and at worst a 100 yd walk if you have to park up top.

I've never seen it mentioned on the site so i was wondering if anyone had any info like where to fish (close) if you launch there.  In an inflatable we used to cover allot of water and go much farther than you can in a yak so I'm clueless about what may be close. I do have a FF but figured I ask for tips anyway.

Dale I fished there out of a skiff when I was a kid. We just dropped whereever around the kelp lines because we had no electronics then.

Now I would fish it like anyplace else, watch your TV until it looks so good you can't stand it anymore and hit them in the head. :smt002

Have fished there a few times just around the point to the north.  I like the launch, and fishing in front of the Timber Cove Lodge/Inn is a good spot.  Last time there (few years ago) picked up a ling and schoolie blues and blacks were so thick it was ridiculous.  Like Shimmy said, you can pothole the kelp on the inside or watch the graph and hit up likely spots.  The whole place is just fishy, on the inside and outside.
