Seriously, another fun day at the Bean with the REAL Fish Hunter and Kickin Bass.  Weather was on and off as was the fishing.

We hit a reef that was making fish last week and it kicked out a few greenlings and some smaller cabbies.  I picked up one cab at 19" and thought I was good on the upgrade.

Then the bite kinda died and I also missed a ton of bites and was getting frustated.  We moved out deep and fished great looking bottom for nada.  Later we found a nice school of blacks and me and Andy quickly landed 12-13 nice rockies for his family reunion fish fry.

The day was winding down so we hit things as we paddled in.  I found a nice little drift with some great structure.  Dropped the jig and felt a little rap.  Set the hook and it began taking drag.  I knew it was either a ling or a cabbie and when I saw a nice big cab come to color I about pissed by pants.  Thank you!!!!

Fishhunter et al,

Good seeing you out there.  I headed north and picked up some rockfish, nothing too big.  Nice time on the water.

Honestly by the end of the session i was cool with my 19er and bummed on how many bites I failed to stick earlier. When I saw the hump on the meter, dropped the jig, and it all came together the only thing missing was my moment buddy...
ChuckE...I thought you were gonna be there?  What happened.
