Nice to be on water thats not too cold to kill you for a change. Lots of marks, we didnt get on the water till 8, but we heard they were hitting the surface like crazy at sunup. Marked lots of fish/ bait trolled x raps, spinners, rppallas, all kinds of s*it, went way back up deserted coves, tossing plastics for one baby lm. Great lake to chill out in, if I can get my ass out of bed early it might be fishier too.

"if I can get my ass out of bed early it might be fishier too." Doubt it!!  :smt005 Ben, what are the chances of that happening.  :smt044 Sounds like you still had a good time out there.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Ben I'm glad you and Anitafish were able to come up and enjoy the lake, sorry the fishing wasn't better for you. I got out at the start of the topwater action and blanked but dredged up a 6# lmb on a 4" dropshot sculpin. Nightfishing Sonoma when the days are hot can be good, the Bass come up very shallow. :smt002

Mike I watched a family of otters on the Warm Springs side of the lake a few years ago. Man can those little guys fish... the group was swimming past the boat I was in and they were snagging something just about every dive, while we made cast after cast for nada! :smt044

Nice video Mike.  I have been watching a family of them off and on over the past 3 years or so that are usually in the area between the mouth of Yorty and the mouth of Cherry creeks.  Very curious little guys, and fun to watch.

Too bad the fishing was not better for you Ben, things should be just getting going and will improve as we move into the fall bite.  Early always helps for the topwater of course..... :smt002

Fun to watch but they sure put the bite off. Nasty too I have had a few run ins with them. At night along the River if you just sit and be quiet you are bound to hear them crunching the bones of some poor fish loud and creepy if you don't know what it is. If you want to have some fun try and take a fish away from one. :smt011
