Fished the river by my house this AM for nada.  Didn't see anyone else hookup either.  Water was ok, but not exactly great.  Yesterday was apparently hot, I heard that lots of fish were hammered...but not today!

Talked to a buddy of mine yesterday and apparently he caught 5, 10" trout by the Talmage bridge in the Russian last Sat.  No steelehead, but he said that they fought hard in the rapids.

They are starting to release smolts from the hatchery...aka trout.  So far they have let 11,000 go, 90,000 more to go.  The smolts are fun on a little fly rod.

I am still scoreless for steelies this year.  There are a lot of big boys at the hatchery that keep me swinging though.
