Apparently Martins Beach access is severely restricted, but Cowell Ranch Beach is just north of there, and open to the public.  The trail down to the beach looks a little Elkish, but I'm thinking this area might be a good alternative to BH/PP, with the chance of catching stripers as a bonus.

Has anyone paddled the area???
