M'lady and I will be staying with friends in Guerneville over the Labor Day weekend. If the weather co-operates we'll be rockfishing, Ft Ross and points north. If it's dicey we might try Bodega Harbor for crabs and butts or maybe the RR for smallies.

If anyones around it would be great to hookup.  :smt006

The Ms's and I live out in Guerneville. I'd be happy to hookup at the Fort if the Boss man and the WAF cooperate. Here's to good weather. Keep us posted.

Good seeing you on the River the other day (nice boat)Perry is it? Have you tried any other spots? I'm thinking of launching at Steelhead and paddling upstream to Wholer Dam carrrying over it then fishing that lake.

it is perry, i didnt catch your name. i fish a few spots several miles above where i saw you, and in cloverdale (havnt been up there in my yak yet). i have had very limited success in the lower river, although the wohler area is pretty good sometimes. i caught a few stripers last year below the inflatable dam and the typical 8-10" smallies. i've never fished "the lake" though, i find i do best in areas with some current/flow. steelhead to wohler would be quite a hoof i think, but there are some nice pools in that stretch.

What day are you thinking folks? I have Saturday morning, all day Sunday and most of Monday to fish.

I'd like to catch something to eat, hence my preference for the ocean or Lake Mendo.

Perry.......are you sleepingisnicer (PFIC)?

Adam; no worries!

Thats for sure. I was going to log back on there so I could track you down 'cos I remember you lived up there and Monte said you would have some tips for smallies.

Lets keep our eyes on the weather and see what happens!
