San Diego camping & fishing Sept 1 - 6

I'm going to go down to San Diego the first week of Sept and try for some yellowtail.  i could use some company if anyone's interested.

Any recommendations on camping, launch spots, or other resources?

Hi Baru:

       Try La Jolla Shore Very Early becasue parking Sucks but, last time I fished La Jolla I hookup with a nice Yellowtail. Too bad a Sea Lion ripped me off! I would log on to kayak4fish and hookup with our friends in Socal.
       Arrive early so you may fish for Green Back Macks. at the end of the Pier by the Lite and stairs. I use Owner #1 Ringed live bait Hooks on a 3 Ft. Leader with a #5  Egg Sinker.
       Fish off the Kelp 1 Mile adajcent to "The Cove" watch out for the South current or you will end up in Pacific Beach before you know it!
       "Squidco" is a good spot for Tackle.
"Pt. Loma Sea food"  has the best takeout on Harbor Dr.
