Took my dad out to Tomales this week and he got his personal best. A 40"er!! It was the only one we got, but it was enough. We tried all day at different spots to make bait, but never even got a grab, so we ended up using popsicles. I thought I had a nice one on too, but it turned out to be a big angel shark... :smt013. Managed to undue him with out lifting him out of the water. Two take downs, that was it. And no I don't have pics. It seems I've lost my camera, or I've missed placed it in a pretty good hidding spot... :smt011

Wanted to take a momment to express my gratitude to all involved with the Elk experience. First of all Sean and family, for all your efforts. You put on a class act my friends. Glad to be a part of it all. The food was awsome without saying, but the atmosphere in which it was put together was the best part. Everyone working and mingling together to make it happen. Random samples snatched, and shared. The social atmosphere from the get go was great. I met a bunch of old friends and made even more new ones. Exchanges of tips and info is always great. One of my favorite things to do is wander around and check out other guys rigs. Cause we all do the same thing, and have our little things we do a little different. I think that's what I like most about yaking, the creativity of customizing your own stuff. There's no more creative bunch than us yakers...  :smt004 Always fun to put the face to the posts. Without rambling on, I just wanted to say thanks all. Had a great time, and looking forward to BAM. I ended up staying up on the coast a couple days more and wandered north to Mendo area before coming home and taking my dad out to Tomales, straight to work and....Whew!!! I finally had the time and energy to sit down on the puter and write a little... :smt002
Good times, good memories....

Jonesz I glad to see you got your dad out and had a productive day! It was nice to talk to you at Elk instead of in yaks on the water. Hopefully we can hook up and get some OTW time! Went to Tomales yesterday but it was slooooowwwwww......no butts for Scwafish and me. KZ-Erik killed the skunk by playing with an "Angel". I hope the guys in the tourney get them...
