I need to replace the bands on my guns. Does Wallins or any other local (ish) shops sell the bulk rubber and parts?

I'm not sure if Wallins sells bulk rubber, they might.

Take a look at the neptonics site...they might have what you need.  http://www.neptonicsystems.com/powerband.htm

Josh is a really cool guy.  When I ordered my Kelp Carrot and Float Line from him he dropped it off at my house.

I'd be carefull making your own bands, I have tried this before and have had the crimped ends come off over time. If you think that a measly little rubber band breaking hurts you will have a new tolerance to pain if one of these things lets loose :cussing:. Also you'd have to make sure the rubber is the proper thickness & type. If you want to just buy the pre made bands here is place that is close to Lodi.

Side note is that you should buy a can of spray silicone and spray the bands after each use.

Anderson's has rubber too.

The silicone keeps the rubber soft and the bands from cracking.I spray the majority of my dive gear with, you can find it at most dive shops or probably a hardware store. It also works great for keeping plastic hinges, handles etc. from sticking, I use it on my Cobra hatches.

Here's the link to the stuff that I use.

I keep my bands in the freezer to prevent the outside from oxidizing.  The bands on my eurogun are 4 years old and still like new that way, while the rubber shock absorber on the shooting line fell apart some time ago.  I let them dry out before putting them in the freezer.

Neptonics is the way to go for bulk rubber and materials online.  The freediveshop in Sacramento is closer to you than Wallins and they are all about spearfishing.  They also carry articulated wishbones and premade bands.

The last time I was at wallans I bought them out of everything they had.  Which was not much about two feet of 9/16.  I needed 5/8 for my other gun so I bought two premade bands and cut it to size for my gun.

They said they were going to order so new material.
