Met FishinMike at the Encinal boat ramp @ 0700 on Saturday.  The water was not bad at all in the am and there were bait ball every where.  I started trolling just about 100 yards out from the ramp and headed towards the end of the rockwall. I was trolling in 8 -10ft of H2O. There were about 5 to 6 boats in the area. I did not see any net flying at all. As of me, only few stripped bait and no fish. Could not get the skunk of the yak. I started trolling about 0715 till 1100 in the morning. I started headed in when the wind started to pick up. I'll get them next time. Nice to meet you FishinMike. At least I got a good workout after all.

Hey Fred, good to see you out there. Not much to add except that the water was a little choppy. I was drifting mostly then paddling back uphill. The tide and the breeze were working together to make a pretty fast drift. I tried anchoring for a while, got two small rays in two drops and decided to put the anchor away. Drifted with frozen anchovies and also tried several imitations, but no bites.
