Nice!!! My friends and I back in high school used to do that for rubberlip perch under the monterey wharf. We used re-curved Bows back then (80's). haven't shot an arrow at a fish sence!

Yeah, kayak fishing isn't the only form of "extreme fishing" with a loyal following.

Bowfishers even have thier own websites such as this one..
http://www.amsbowfishing.com/

Check out the photos of the alligator gar these guys go after.

They even have a video game

When do we get a game?

bsteves, I actually made a couple PS2 games as a lead programmer,

MX2002 featuring Ricky Carmichael and
MX Superfly featuring Ricky Carmichael.

I want to say you are going to wait a long time but never say never!

I can see it now, head to head, promethean spark vs mooch. choose
your kayak, heh.  :smt004

How are the fishing games you can get anyway? Never tried 'em, but I've seen the Rapala title by the cash register at Fisherman's Warehouse and
been at least a tiny bit curious. I've heard some of them are pretty fun.

When I was in college a friend of mine had a fishin' game.  I don't remember what platform it was on, but it was probably a playstation.  It was sweet.  You could choose where to fish, like open water, under a skanky bridge or by a nuclear power plant.  Sometimes you would catch an old boot.  You would choose your lure, fishing depth and color depending upon the water temperature, air temperature and weather conditions.  You had to play big fish carefully or your line would bust.  The game was awesome, especially with a lot of alcohol involved, which was often the case.

Why play a fishing game when you can fish or play with your fishing gear?  Guess if I were one of the main characters I'd have to give it a go though.   I suppose the moochyak has a banana secret weapon that curses the other fisherman, and the promethean boat has the huge net and sturgeon clubbing skills for 100% landing success.  :smt003 Maybe it could be a mod for mariocart...

My favorites are FPS or guncon games.  Haven't booted my ps2 in a couple months now though.
